Kaspersky Lab: “Do this to kill viruses on iOS”

IOS was the most secure mobile operating system, at least better than Android. However, representatives of Kaspersky Lab said that in 2022 and 2023 hackers were very active, and they used viruses of the zero-click format infecting iOS devices. The complexity of such malware is that the user does not have to do anything for it.

Kaspersky Lab reported on the active group of hackers, the attacks on mobile devices stopped. However, the threat may return in a few years, or maybe in a few months – as soon as the hackers regroup and do the work on the bugs.

To be on the safe side, the head of threat research at Kaspersky Lab suggests the following:

• Regularly reboot the device – malware does not survive rebooting the device;
• Update the OS to the latest version – there is a high probability that the manufacturer has fixed the vulnerabilities exploited by hackers in the current version of OS.
