Before starting Pirates Outlaws, you need to choose one of three worlds, which differ in enemies, maps and events, after which you get to the map. The map has various forks. All possible paths are visible at once and you can think over your route to the goal in advance. You need to spend action points to move around the map. On the way, you can meet and fight other pirates. Driving the ship, we move between the sprawling cobweb of islands, where we have to fight, relax and participate in special events. The main goal is to get to the boss on the edge of each archipelago. It is extremely difficult to do this, since your health reserve doesn’t recover between battles by itself. Moreover, the ship’s power reserve isn’t infinite – you need to repair it periodically.

Fight epic card battles

The battles in Pirates Outlaws take place using cards. At the start, there are 3 action points available (they are called “Ammunition”). A maximum of five cards can be in hand. At the end of the turn, the cards you played, as well as those remaining in your hand discard. After you used the entire deck, the cards shuffle to play again. Enemies don’t have their own deck, as action for the next turn displays over their heads. Having won a battle, you receive gold and a chance to choose one of three cards. The cards have 4 categories:

• Melee – deal damage and don’t consume action points.
• Ranged combat – inflict damage, spending action points.
• Skills – cards with special properties, as well as ammunition.
• Curses – cards that you can’t use.

Damage cards can have special properties. For example, apply “Bleeding” or get a card from the deck.

Unlock all great heroes

Initially, only one character is available to you, but there are six of them in Pirates Outlaws. You can open four heroes for gold, and the last one only for real money. The base hero – The Cannoneer. He relies on ranged combat and can restore one point of ammo each turn. Another hero hits melee and cannot accumulate armor, but can steal enemy health. They can hardly be called boring – all thanks to random events, inquisitive attempts to find effective tactics, new heroes and dozens of cards gradually added to the solid pool. This game is fun and exciting to play, returning repeatedly for a fresh portion of new cards, enemies and heroes.

The main advantage of Pirates Outlaws over other games of the genre is very fast and clear fights that allow you to move from island to island, collecting cards and gold. In total, the game has over 450 cards and 150 artifacts, which opens up great opportunities for grinding and collecting.
