A few years ago, iOS and iPhones were the best in terms of smoothness and user experience. However, modern Android 12-14 has caught up with iOS in terms of design and convenience and they have even surpassed it as the GreenSmartphones study showed.
The researchers compared requests from American users to Google who wanted to know how to take a screenshot, how to record a screen, how to block a number, how to reset to factory settings, and so on. It turns out that apart from requests for scanning a QR code and taking a screenshot, iOS users were the most searched for instructions.
On average, Android needed help with basic functions 226,000 times a month, compared to 358,000 times for iOS. This is a difference of 58.41%. This is despite the fact that the number of iOS and Android users in the US is almost the same. To keep the data clean, the researchers at GreenSmartphones used the same keywords when querying.
